What can I say about humans? They're people, like you and me. Well, like me, anyway. Maybe you're not people. Let's see... every person's different. They all have different skills, different weaknesses, whatever. Some people know more about the supernatural than others. Generally, people are pretty much in the dark, so it's not usually a good idea to start talking to some dude you just met about all the monsters you hang out with. You know, just in case he thinks you're Nicholson in Cuckoo's Nest. All people share one big weakness - I don't care how special you are. If you're human, a lot of stuff can kill you. End of story.

Ahh, the civies. Alright, first off, let me set something straight. Just because somebody's not a badass hunter with a big gun or they're not Superman with some awesome power, that doesn't mean they're useless. Civilians have a lot goin' for 'em. They get to have a normal life, have a job, maybe a family, pets. It's a good way to be, if you ask me. And, hey, just because somebody didn't grow up learning how to decapitate a vampire with a hack saw, doesn't mean they can't learn a thing or two along the way. But, remember, a civilian doesn't have any serious training in hunting the supernatural, and a civilian wouldn't have any special abilities. Those guys have their own titles.

Right off the bat, keep in mind hunters aren't any more resilient than any other people, but they probably see the most action, combat wise. Sure, we're badass and we got weapons, but we're always runnin' away from something and there's always something on our ass. It's just how it is. That's the life we end up in. Every hunter does the job for a different reason, and we all have different methods, skills, and obstacles to deal with. It's not exactly run of the mill for hunters to have powers, but it happens occasionally. Mostly, hunters are just people with a little know-how.

Psychics are people with cool abilities. Doesn't matter where they came from. Some people are born with the ability to bend spoons with their minds. Other people go through some kind of change that saddles them with a little somethin' extra. You know, a little ghost whispering, maybe some extra-sensory perception. It's different for everybody, and not every psychic's good at what they do. Some of them are awesome, don't get me wrong. But some of them are downright crappy at it. It's kind of a crapshoot.

Don't confuse witches with psychics. There might be some similarities here and there, but they're two different things. Psychics draw power from within themselves. Witches use magic to do whatever it is they do. Some witches have a natural flair for it, sure. But, some of them have to work extra hard at the craft. Witches have been known to make deals with demons to increase their power. That's given them kind of a bad reputation in certain circles. It's important to remember not all witches are evil.
